Restoration of Jacob

18 “Thus says the Lord,
‘Behold, I will ^arestore the ^{▼▼ Or captivity}fortunes of the tents of Jacob
And ^chave compassion on his dwelling places;
And the ^dcity will be rebuilt on its ruin,
And the ^epalace will stand on its rightful place.
19 ‘From them will proceed ^fthanksgiving
And the voice of those who ^{▼▼ Or dance
,} ^hcelebrate;
And I will ⁱmultiply them and they will not be diminished;
I will also ^jhonor them and they will not be insignificant.
20 ‘ ^{▼▼ Lit His}Their children also will be as formerly,
And ^{▼▼ Lit his}their congregation shall be ^mestablished before Me;
And I will punish all ^{▼▼ Lit his}their oppressors.
21 ‘ ^{▼▼ Lit his}Their ^pleader shall be one of them,
And ^{▼▼ Lit his}their ruler shall come forth from ^{▼▼ Lit his}their midst;
And I will ^sbring him near and he shall approach Me;
For ^{▼▼ Lit who is he that gives his heart in pledge}who would dare to risk his life to ^uapproach Me?’ declares the Lord.
22 ‘You shall be ^vMy people,
And I will be your God.’”
